AI-supported conversational web app for collaboration in home repair & maintenance through peer-to-peer advice & resource management.

Worked with founders to validate and advance the original concept for a genAI-assisted conversational web app offering peer-to-peer advice in home repair & maintenance. Designed a high fidelity prototype, pitch-deck and notes for visual identity, in 6 weeks.

Problem statement

In early 2023 I got approached by a startup in Austin, TX to help them develop a greenfield concept of a conversational web app where folks could get support and guidance for their DIY restoration, repair and maintenance projects. Founder’s vision was to create a one-stop-shop for DYI re-pairists to connect virtually with pros who have successfully tackled similar challenges on their own, through sharing their best practices and resources.

Goals

• Build a platform for DIY peer-to-peer advice in home repair and maintenance
• Design an Intelligent Virtual Agent (IVA) to safeguard, monitor and support conversations between the users

Key results

• Validate hypothesis, design service blueprint, develop features
• Propose concepts for visual identity
• Design high-fidelity prototypes and a pitch deck for investors (NDA)
